Propagation for the Cut Flower Garden: Seed Sowing

Sowing seeds is exciting, rewarding and often challenging! During this session, we will introduce you to the science of seed germination. We will demonstrate the process of sowing seeds and discuss practical matters, such as equipment and composts. It will then be time for you to get your hands dirty! You will have the opportunity to sow seeds and prick out seedlings, which you can then take with you to nurture at home.

This session forms part of our wider range of courses, Propagation For The Cut Flower Garden. Over this series, we will introduce you to propagation over a flower farmer’s year. Sessions can be bought individually or you can attend the complete range over the growing season. The other sessions within this course are: Dahlias, Taking Cuttings and Collecting and Storing Seed.
